Rifle Gunfighting

Although we prefer and specialize in the Kalashnikov weapons system, we will teach you to fight with any rifle you own!  We offer the following Rifle Gunfighting Classes at CBI:

Fundamental Rifle Skills - Learn the basics of setting up, equipping, sighting, manipulating, and firing a fighting rifle.  Bring an AK, an AR, your lever-action, or your bolt action!

Intermediate Rifle Skills - We will cover beginning and intermediate shooting positions, movement/displacement, cover/concealment, and fighting tactics.  Pre-requisites: a beginning CBI rifle course, or other pre-approved rifle training.

All Kalashnikov - This beginning class is geared to operators of the AK-47 family of rifles, but we will accept other rifles in this course.  Learn how to sight, equip, zero, and manipulate the AK-47 family of rifles.

Intermediate Kalashnikov - Take your skill with the AK to the next level as we learn shooting and moving techniques, vertical and horizontal displacement, intermediate firing positions, rifle transitions, and much more.

Force on Force Rifle Fighting - The most realistic type of training you can experience!  Using Airsoft weapons, you will learn rifle fighting under the most dynamic conditions.  Pre-requisites: students should have completed an Intermediate Rifle CBI class and be in reasonably good physical condition.

Defensive Handgun Gunfighting

A lot of people own a pistol and assume that HAVING the weapon is good enough.  That’s like assuming that because you HAVE a car, you can get across city traffic!  CBI can train you to a level of skill with your pistol suitable to match whatever need you may have!  Bring the pistol you have (modern defensive pistol) and we can teach you to fight with it!

Defensive Handgun - 2 Day Class - Learn the basics of operating and fighting with a handgun.  You will learn to draw/employ the weapon, reload correctly and under pressure, fundamentals of marksmanship, after action drills that will keep you alive, and some of the spiritual, mental, and legal aspects of a gunfight.  Pre-requisites: NONE.  Cost: $350

Intro to Defensive Handgun - 1 Day Class - This is the FIRST DAY ONLY of Defensive Handgun.

Can’t do the whole class?  Take the Introduction. Pre-requisites: NONE.  Cost: $200

Intermediate Defensive Handgun - 2 Day Class - This class will take you to the next level fighting with your handgun!  Learn how to deploy the pistol, displace horizontally and vertically (get out of his sight picture), shoot accurate groups appropriate to combat, and manipulate the pistol under stress.  Pre-requisite: a previous handgun class commensurate with Defensive Handgun. Cost: $350

Concealed Carry Weapon Class - Become licensed to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Virginia and approximately 27 other states.  Concealment techniques, basic marksmanship, and tactical deployment will be covered.  This is a credentialed certificate that must be added to either the Defensive Handgun or the Intermediate Defensive Handgun.  Cost: $75

Close Range Pistol Gunfighting - Learn how to employ your pistol in a fight inside 10 feet.  We will cover mixed combatives, modified deployment techniques, some point shooting, use of immediate cover, and other topics conducive to winning a close range gunfight.
